OMG RYCROFT!!!
You are by far one of the most respected Divinity veterans in history. We (Starbucks/Nubcakes/Nicocakes) miss you a great deal, and talk about you till this day. If you ever want to try out the new expansion coming, you should hit us up on World of Warcraft (that's where we personally are nowadays)

Good to hear your chat? text? post? rofl gah Was thinking about that but going to see about refreshing myself with DAoC first, kinda taking it slow, OMG wow I totally forget how to play this kind of game thing going on. Brains farting or something.. lol but will keep the WoW option open if things settle down more, thinking I will have to Cancel the SWG account if I do so I can afford WoW, but still kinda tied to that atm. Got a House and pet in there of my dads, and he just passed Dec 1st so kinda hard thinking about giving that up right now. Did DAoC cuz I noticed seemed like people from the old days were still around and would be easier to loose myself in then something totally new heh.

You totally missed the phenomenon that was Molukai and I duo'ing and suicide bridge jumping when outnumbered on DAOC round 2. I remember when we used to duo/trio/small group! If only you were there this time around-- I wasn't *too* nubbish anymore!

Play on Gareth imo if you're going to play DAOC~ we also have a live chapter of Divinity there still. Or, you can join us on WoW =P Regarding Vanguard, it's not worth playing, especially with Warhammer coming out.

Warhammer keeps getting pushed back.. sigh.. and the EA intervention has me worried too. but yeah thats what i'm waitin on mostly.
I intend to begin on the classic server once I get back to 100% familiar with all of the game again. just gonna take time with for me. lol you know how slow I can be.. hahahah... hmmm cough.

EA is a significant boon to Mythic imo, since Mythic already stated that EA will have little to no contribution in Mythic's artistic direction. As such, EA is simply a bank that will help Mythic carry out bigger projects--- and so far, Mythic is still my favorite MMO company; hopefully the added funds allow them to set their ambitions even higher. Anyhoo, I finally found your email after digging through my old address-- I usually use chao.65@osu.edu now, and rarely, if -ever- check my old one anymore! Sorry about that =P Last but not least, I dunno if it's that I am more experienced as a gamer, or if DAOC got easier... probably a little bit of both... but, I remember getting to 50 in like 3 or 4 months when DAOC first came out, and not reaching Rank 6 until nearly 7 or 8 months of PvP (though from that point, I breezed to ~R7L5, which is what I quit at) in about a week and a half. The most recent time around, I got to 50 in under a week and a half, got to Champion Level 5 in about a week, and R6 L5 in about 2.5 months. Keep in mind, this is 99% solo RPs, too. ) Last, but not least, though, the old servers aren't anything like the classic servers--- well, they weren't, until recently. Recently, with the release of LOTM, which resembles ToA in many manners, it seems that Gareth is becoming increasingly similar to the old servers.
