Basic Cleric Template Build 1.0

This is my first build for a basic, starter cleric template. The purpose is to cap skills, con, dex, pie, hits and resists. For this template I wasnt too concerned about +dex/con/pie cap or +af items as those will come in time. I wanted something I could RvR in NOW and not be a hinderance to the group.

The second goal was to use the items I had already, or could easily obtain. IE quest and epic items. I wanted to keep the DarkSpire items to a minimum as I cannot guarantee that I'll get them when I need them.

From what I can tell I hit the cap on con, dex, pie, hits, resists and come within 1 point of cap on most resists. If anyone reading this could look it over and make sure I havent made any glaring errors or omissions I'd appreciate it.

I need to get the following items:
Quest BP
Indigo ring (think I might have enough Aurulite for it)
DarkSpire Belt
Gem of Spirit Abhorrent

I also need to find a reasonable armorcrafter, spellcrafter and weapon crafter.

Take a look and tell me where I screwed up, it went together waaaay to easily.

Build 2.0

After looking at the prices of armor, and comparing that to my checkbook, I realized I'm going to have to use mostly epic pieces. So I went back to the grindstone. This is probably what I'm going to end up using till the new epic gear and champ weapons come out. I'll have to look at those and see if I can work something out with the 100% af 102 epic armor.

Con, dex, pie, power and hits are all good. Resists are acceptable, all within 1 or 2 points of cap. With racial resists added in they look better. Rejuv is 10, which will give me an effective of 46 (36+10) before adding realm rank in. Enhancement is only +4, I could get a spare pair of gloves and drop 6 more on them to use when buffing. Spec is 40, so I only need 10 from items and realm rank to cap base buffs.

This way all I need (once I finish my epic) is the belt and aurulite ring. I've got the rest of it. Also, the hands and feet are not overcharged, so I can use first try gems and not have to worry about exploding.

Not bad, but I think you'd do good by getting + to heals and +to enhance items to be more effective. Wouldn't + Dex Cap increase casting speed on heals? and someone once told me not to worry too much about the Energy resists, use them yes but not to sacrifice something to max energy, cause if you're getting hit by a caster that uses energy magic, you're gonna die anyways.

You are correct that +heal effectiveness, and +dex cap would help. However, at the moment I dont have anything with +heal effectiveness or +dex cap and I need something to rvr in now.

Call this template an in-between. Its in-between the crap armor I wore (and am still wearing) as I was leveling up, and a twinked out +heal eff, +dex cap, +af suit.

I dont expect to be wearing this more than a few weeks, 1 month tops before I am ready for my finial, finial suit.

Right now my resists are completely borked, I've got +3 to rejuv, +2 to enhance, no where near cap on con or dex ... tbh right now, I really shouldnt rvr my cleric, he is a detriment to the group.

With either of these templates at least he will be average. I can deal with average while I farm items and $$ for the real nice suit.

As for the energy resists, those are all on items/armor that I'm not scing, there isnt anything I can do to bring them down and add something useful such as +heal or +dexcap.

From what I'm currently using (grey sleeves, blue legs and feet, af90 chest, lvl 30 ring etc) I'll notice a big improvement in cast times, and general survivability.

I do thank you for looking it over and adding your comments/suggestions. Be sure that my Finial Uber Super Duper Cleric Template will incorporate as much heal effetiveness, dexcap and +af that I can find.
