Here are some images Raiie sent me to post. Mind you this is AFTER the change. He still constantly is at the type. The difference is his play style closely resembles the concept of the class. He cannot sit back and be a pure healer. He can comment more. You can see his toon has utilitarian approach. Personally I think that's why the class is a "Warrior" Priest and not a Robe wearing Cleric. Only posting this because, of the threads on alliance that hundreds of people saying it is impossible to get good renown. I am sure there will be a lot of adversarial remarks about this topic, I just wanted to demonstrate the different play styles and what I thought the concept of the class was meant to be. I am not sure that the community in general understand there is not apure heal type in the game period. Lets face it, your given damage skills from the get go and each arch type has an opposite approach. Melee/Heal or Wizard/Heal.

his renown was still nice. his damage numbers look about the same as mine do in most scenarios but maybe these 2 pictures werent the best examples? im not taking a shot at him at all, but his healing numbers were very sub par. he was beaten in the first by a black orc in healing and in the second a shaman and archmage were both able to get well over twice his heals. he healed the right people without a doubt, his renown was great. but in a comparable battle where an arch mage would heal for 60K i would be 100-120K on average. perhaps his style is better than mine, but if these screen shots were good representations than that could also tell why the renown nerf didnt him him as bad /edit: also look in the first SS. 2 other warrior priest. one out damaged him and the other bested him in damage and healing (nice balance at 23K/22K) yet both got much less renown. look at the top 2 renown holders (okay..lets say top 6). notice something about them that the 2 warrior priest dont share? both warrior priest are max level. everyone they fight in here is of a lower or equal level to them. your friend is in the middle, the top renown holder (who's damage and healing are both very low) is level 22..so everyone in the scenario short of 2 people are equal or higher level than him. the second screen shot hints at it as well with blaine barely performing better than pug (1K less damage, one more kill) yet getting 800 odd percent more renown?

I'm actually not taking any shots for or against atm, but I think it raises some interesting questions. There was a Warhammer post some time ago (Grab Bag question maybe) stating that the way for a healer to get more renown was to heal the top dd in their party, and if it happened to be the top dd in the wb, then more for them. So renown isn't based on healing and damage done alone, but who they heal and when. Check out Irefan in the second SS. 2nd top DD @ 53.7k, but second lowest renown.
I guess the question is, what do we really want? Are the people that contribute the highest numbers really the mvps in the scenario? Or should it promote getting renown in other ways (that we have yet to figure out)?
