Havent seen too many people posting lately. Is anybody left from Divinity. I know Molukai is off at ROTC.
Llorimar, I have havent heard from you in awhile. I hope everything is well in RL. I hope you are able to come back on and lead the guild because the guild is directionless at the moment. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help out.

Well our current direction is to get spec toons rolled, and there's a list of them at demonbreeder.tk in the member section of the forums. The templates posted have been created by one of the best, and the sooner everyone gets at least one of them rolling, the sooner we start taking back the mines that SD currently holds near our cities.
We also need people out generating funds for the Empire, as there are a couple of forges that still need ranking to R7. A priest trainer was put into DE two days ago, and I'm funding the ranking of it myself with help from Darkspawn and a couple of others. A necromancer trainer may also be added, pending whether I decide to rank the wizard tower in Sanctuary to 7 or not (which'll cost more than ranking the one in DE to 3, but I may end up ranking all the trainer buildings in sanctuary anyway).

We have too many people without an r7 primary toon to worry about spec toons. For people who already have an r7 main it's great to build a mine fight specialist. The templates are fine though I think it is good to have some diversity (there's no one uber template). Personally, I've been leveling Cyruk a minobarb for mine fights.
For people without an r7 main I think we need to keep them engaged and getting their primary to r7.

It's good to see us rolling spec groups. I personally am rolling a Healer Priest for the spec groups so I can easily fit into any spec group wether it be for mine fights or for banes.

The centaur ranger spec is incredibly diverse actually, and can be used for rune hunting, banes, mine fights, solo pvp... whatever. The point is while people worry about mains and ignore the spec toons, other nations further consolidate the hold they have over what we need. How many people in our nation can say truthfully that they have a single toon with a fully tailor-made set of gear on? Even the vamp warrior that I've already spent several million on buying resources to roll equipment for is still short a pair of properly rolled throwing axes.
Such problems lessen and eventually go away when we start to take and hold mines, which is why spec toons are a priority. Diversity might seem nice, but when it comes to the fighting everyone ends up as a solo fighter who just happens to be grouped with a bunch of other solo fighters. Spec toons are built specifically to be complimentary to each other as a group, hence maximising their abilities in a fight.
Anyway I won't go on anymore. Perhaps after people start seeing a group of the centaur rangers in action they might start to think differently....

Zarina, you are correct there is a direction for Demon Breeders, but I do not see the same direction for Divinity. While you may be rolling gear for your toons, I do not know anybody in Divinity rolling gear or having gear rolled for them. Maybe if guildies had more incentive, they would step up to lead a mine attack or join up.
If I may vent slightly off topic. Spec toons are great and all, but that is not our problem when it comes to taking mines. I think too many people are out for themselves. When I was out trying to rally people for mines, certain DB leaders from a couple guilds did not take an interest in helping. They were too busy farming for new cities or for resources for their gear (I am talking prior to Berlin and Sanctuary being setup but I am not implicating those guilds). I think the problem with taking mines is lack of initiative and selfishness, possibly even defeatism.
In a previous guild a long time ago, we brought our PVP mains to mine fights. Prospectors, scouts, and bashers included, of course. We didnt have to plead with guild mates to form up for mine. If guild leader was not online, then somebody else would take charge. We did not need spec toons to win. Just enough people to put up a challenge.
I am hoping the spec group will help. Maybe people will take more initiative after they have invested time in a toon specifically for mine fights. However, it will be difficult to take any mines if we dont step up and pursue them, spec group or not.

Also when I mentioned diversity I was referring to a fighting group not the abilities of a toon. If you stand at a mine with all one character no matter what character you will lose to smart opponents. Shadowbane is very balanced and every toon has a weakness. Have a diverse spec group means that an entire group isn't taken out by one weakness.
Aemilius also has a point, and he knows what he's talking about. I watched him take two mines within minutes of each other with a ragtag group that was mostly r5's and r6's.

I see fewer people online each night during mine windows. Many of the people I played with every night are now gone. Most to other nations. Few seem to care about the mines and it's rare I see a PL group unless Aemilius or I start one.
I'm trying to make a spec ranger but all I can do is pl it myself and that's difficult, especially when I'm also trying to get runes for the spec group or asked to help other groups pl in spots my lowbie can't survive. I'm guessing she might be ready for a mine fight in oh, say 3 months?
Not only have I never seen rolled gear, I usually can't get any gear in nation. I shop in blackmarket or get our old guildies in their new homes to look for things for me, or just wear SDR or found stuff. When my robe broke I couldn't find a single one in nation to buy. And forget cloth or LA windies, never seen a pair once in nation.
I made my bard for mine fights, well over a month ago. Most of her last 14 levels have been gotten because of friends in other nations letting me pl with them. Maybe they'd help me with my spec ranger? Adjust time frame to 1 week.
The high markup on our trainers is making it hard for many also. Most people don't have money making toons and just can't afford it. I've been passing gold out to help others but it's a temporary help at best and some are now going to other nations to train. Some don't come back.
We used to have enthusiasm and heart. When aemilius called in nation for a mine group we all headed that way. Didn't matter if we might get trounced, we were doing it together. We used to want to do things together. We often had close to two groups for mines and even though not all those toons were leveled, we often gave a good fight. And sometimes we got mines.
It's been a couple weeks since I've even seen a mine group now. And it will be at least several more before a large enough group of rangers will be leveled. Other than archers, they don't have the needed runes, the needed training, the needed equipment. Who is going to take them to turtles for pl'ing? Some have already reached that level yet can't go farther without help. In fact, I've only passed out 4 archers so far so I'm wondering how many will even stick with the spec toons at this point. Tonight there were none online. Last night there were only two and one of those was mine. Of the 5 started along with mine, only one person is still actively leveling his I think. Unfortunately he has the same problem as me. No groups around when we can be online. Or only closed farming groups.
As for farming for the nation, I've given my share. Well over 20 million. Now my money goes to the players who need it when I have gold to give.

So far I've spent over 2 million in another city buying items which have gone into Sanctuary's merchant shack at a rounded off figure of what would be about 90% markup on their base cost, which is 10% less than the standard cost at a forge vendor which hasn't been altered, meaning I'm ultimately losing out 200k. Whenever I've been on I've been random rolling gear and keeping anything remotely worth the time. I think what people don't seem to realise is that random rolling gear turns out 95% crap and 5% good. As for cloth windies, I've personally rolled 8 pairs on the Sanctuary tailor since it hit R7. Several pairs sat there for over a week before they went... LA windies are harder to roll, especially considering the fact that I'm currently trying to random roll whole sets of +8 def LA for people to buy.
The markup on the trainers is as low as I can set it at the moment (I'll tweak it a bit later if possible). Once we have the other necessary trainers in I can decrease it by 10-15%, but until then the costs need to be at just over 50% so I can 1) pay the bills, and 2) keep getting the necessary upgrades in. I've already spent in excess of 50 million on the city myself, with another 15-20 million total being donated by other nation members. Cookie himself has donated over 7 million of that, and has promised more if I need it. Sanctuary's weekly bill currently adds up to over 1 mill, and will be closer to 2 mill once all the trainers are in and ranked. People going to cheaper cities is unavoidable, but my hands are tied unless I can recruit a couple of people with the ability to donate enough in total per week to cover maintenance. Let me say this though: the trainer costs at Sanctuary are cheaper than the trainer costs at Seekers of Truth ever were, and I'm not about to punk out like they did. I've also personally channeled funds to rank the DE cathedral and the new priest trainer there, with helpful donations from a couple of other people. I could possibly oversee the ranking of the DE wizard tower for a necro trainer, but that's going to divert 4-5 million or more away from Sanctuary, and I just can't afford it. If anyone wants to oversee that, that'd be appreciated.
As for PL, Cookie and I have been running full PL groups for the last week, starting with r2s, and now working with r5s. I run PL groups often with my druid, but I'm not going to spend my entire time online sitting in a cave exploit-leveling people - I want to have fun too. My groups have been full and afaik so have Cookies, at least whenever I've been there with my ranger. Cookie himself has been trying to scope out PL camps for all levels, though the higher rank camps with the exception of sand wights require people to be active, and are mostly in areas that see a lot of traffic.
I've rolled an incomplete set for one toon, the entirety of the resources coming from the hours I've spent farming cash to fund Sanctuary. That all came off my own back it didn't come from Demon Breeders, and afaik they're having the same resource-lack problems we are. It's not easy when you're a non-duping nation pitted against a number of nations who benefitted quite handsomely from several of their members using the recently hotfixed char re-creation bug to dupe high gold return items like bane scrolls, junking them for "legitimate" gold and thus leaving no evidence.
As for Divinity proper, someone needs to take the reigns. I can't do much more than daily maintenance since I have to oversee Sanctuary. If you want a direction for Divinity you guys are going to have to forge it until Mol gets back. I have full building access (I assume all IC have at least access to the vendors?), so if you want anything doing let me know.
I just thought I'd add this: I'm not here to fight you guys. I want exactly what you do - a good nation that's fun to be with. I think all of us (myself included for sure) need to remember we're trying for the same goal....

Zarina,
Unfortunately, all ic don't have full access. Mol gave me access to two forges and the shrines. Llor and you have access to the rest. That's it.

Ok well unfortunately only the building owner can add new people to the friend list. I would've thought Mol would've included all IC... hey-ho. Everything you guys want to do concerning the buildings that you don't have access to will have to be done through myself and Llorimar (if he comes back. I miss him ).

Sanctuary trainer costs have been lowered by 10%. Eventually training costs will drop to around 30% above standard. I'll never be dropping them to standard btw since then none of the cash spent on training goes towards upkeep, it basically all gets eaten by the trainer.

Perhaps it is time for us all to try and take some mines this week. What do you all think? I know that everyone could really use the resources and the excitment.
