This is a compilation of several posts regarding how to kill the Albion dragon I found on the VN boards. Of course, some posters disagree with others. But it is important to read it and at least get an idea about it.

The basic rules for Gole are pretty easy, as far as I know, nobody really knows what the heck makes him breath fire, but there are ways to avoid it. As for your question, I would say around 80 COMPETENT lvl 50 players.
The best way I have done it is to split into two army's of 40 (or however much half of raid is) and take turns switching off, so that while army 1 is resting and recovering from a big blast or something going wrong, army 2 is still working on the dragon.
Basics:
When you get to his lair, have your army set up on the wall outside his lair, get everybody calmed down, and explain what you're going to do. Its usually easiest to get the names of group leaders, so that you can split the raid into two groups by the group lead's names. Have the second half of the army go to the wall on the other side of the lair, and wait there, usually easiest to make the half that you are in go first, so that the second half can watch, and you can lead the first half.
First thing you want to do is clear those annoying giants that surround his lair in the corners, easiest way to do this is have somebody run along the outside right next to the wall where the giants are, and they will aggro through the wall, and nobody has to go inside and risk pissing off Gole early.
After the giants are dead, you have your half of the army rush in and attack Gole. Like I said before, I don't know exactly what it is that makes him breath fire, but there are ways to avoid it. He spams a /b of who he is glaring at, its not always easy, but try to get your raid to pay attention, because if that person can get away from the large body of players, he can get toasted and save the raid.
My whole theory (just a theory) on why he nukes is that he can't reach someone in melee range, so he resorts to nuking them. Still, I would let casters spread out and do their thing from range, bunching up under him is just a sure way to wipe everyone at once.
The most successful attempt at killing Gole that I participated in was with 40 people. The first half of the army went in, and he instantly nuked them all 3 times, gone, no more army 1. So we sent in army two (the half I was in) and had archers shooting, theurgs spamming, everyone just doing anything because we didn't think it would matter. We had Gole at 30% by the time army 1 was rezzed and back on their feet, ready to go in....but we didn't even need it. He nuked us a couple times, but we shrugged it off and rezed the guys who died.
We might have been lucky, I don't know what it was, but we took him to 5% and still didn't need army 1, but they just rushed in anyways because they were feeling left out, lol. It might have been because we were all SO spread out that his nukes didn't do nearly as much, because we weren't bunched up and having everyone get hit by them for almost full damage.
Anywho, the last bits I'm sure everybody knows about, once he gets lower on life he starts to nuke a little more frequently, and he chain aoe stuns below 10%, nothing too big of a deal, if you get him that low, you're probably not going to have trouble with those, they lose effectiveness after the second stun.
Hope this helps, I came back to DAoC because my favorite aspect of the game was Sidi and Dragon raids, and everybody was in ToA doing all that BS of ML's and stuff. GL with your raid.

merc merc pala friar cleric cleric cleric theurg should do the trick
its the setup we use for farming the dragon atleast, well we just got a friar but it can be worse than without friar
everyone should stand under the dragon, if he glares sprint away and. and every 10% or something he will do a pbae aswell then everyone need to sprint away. something like that, im just a mindless merc/theurg on those raids
